Barrister’s sister wins right to legal review

THE sister of the Alderley Edge barrister shot dead by police in London has won the first stage of her fight for a judicial review at the High Court.

Charlotte Saunders, 26, launched the landmark legal battle calling for a review of the handling of the investigation into her brother’s death by the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

Mark Saunders, 32, was killed by police marksmen at the flat he shared with his wife in Chelsea, London in May this year.
