Why does trouble follow us Brits?

Vic Barlow

HARTSFIELD-JACKSON Airport is one of the largest international hubs in North America.

The food halls are always busy with passengers killing time before long international flights.

I was on my way home and found a quiet table at which to eat while waiting for my flight. The place was crowded with soldiers, business execs and travellers all anxious to be on their way.

One small group started swearing and singing raucous songs, offending nearby passengers. A security guard walked over to address the group and, yes you’ve guessed, it was a party of Brits drinking themselves senseless.

There must have been 500 people in and around that food hall and the only group disgracing itself was a party of Brits.

We’re not the only ones who show ourselves up, we just do it more often.

Right - the issue was the singing. Getting drunk, swearing and, yes, even singing, in an airport food court is not acceptable behavior and is all too typical of Brits abroad. The booze culture and general lowering of standards across British society is deplorable.

   What a refreshing article.

I think that its entirely unsuitable for any British subject to be seen singing outside of church.

Im glad that no one appears to have been seriously injuryed by these irresponsible british people.
