Silkmen start at Meadow

KEITH Alexander’s first full season in charge of Macc Town will begin with a visit to Shrewsbury Town.
The Silkmen visit the Shrews on August 9, where they will meet up with a number of familiar faces.
As well as former chairman Rob Bickerton in charge at the New Meadow, they have former Moss Rose star Kevin McIntyre and last season’s loanees Neil Ashton and Michael Symes on the books.
Macc will also end their campaign on the road, with Grimsby Town the final hosts on May 2.
The Carling Cup campaign kicks off at the Moss Rose on September 24, with Championship side Blackpool the first-round opponents.
The first round of the FA Cup is scheduled for November 8 and, should Macc reach the third round, a New Year journey to promoted Exeter City will be postponed.
