MACCLESFIELD fans have come up with TEN fundraising initiatives to help save the club.

The Silkmen have been ordered to pay the Football Foundation £257,000 by January 31 following a Football Association inquiry into the funding of the McAlpine Stand.

But supporters and club officials have come together to put the following ideas in place to help raise the funds as quickly as possible. They are:

• MAKE the three home games before the deadline sell-outs. They are Chester (New Year's Eve), Oxford (January 14) and Carlisle (January 28).

• JOIN the 300 club. Any group or company who raise £300 will have their donation recognised in the Macclesfield Express.

• ORGANISE an All-Stars and Premiership or match at Moss Rose in January.

• FANS United Day. The club are hoping to rearrange a game in January to a Sunday so fans from all football clubs can attend to show their support.

• PAY £1.25 and join the internet 'pixsale' at www.mtfc.info.

• DONATE money. In person, at the club, over the phone or on the internet.

• ATTEND one of the following evenings planned at Moss Rose: business SOS meeting (Jan 26); Chinese New Year banquet (Jan 27); or a SOS auction (TBA).

• SPONSOR a seat. For £50 you can have your name or message on a seat in the McAlpine Stand.

• SPONSOR Andy Mellor's wheelchair push from the town centre to Moss Rose.

• ORGANISE a fundraising concert with the Macc Lads.

The 'Save Our Silkmen' campaign has already raised £50,000, thanks mainly to a £30,000 donation from majority shareholders Bashar and Amar Alkadhi.

The club are expected to appeal against the FA's verdict and penalty.
